Understanding Your Skin Type: Oily, Dry, Combination, or Sensitive?

The Foundation of Skincare

Buying products without knowing your skin type is like prescribing medicine without a diagnosis. Here’s how to accurately identify yours.

The Bare-Face Test

Wash your face with a gentle cleanser, pat dry, and wait 30 minutes without applying anything. Observe:

  • Tight, flaky, or dull? Dry skin.
  • Shiny all over, especially T-zone? Oily skin.
  • Shiny forehead/nose but dry cheeks? Combination.
  • Redness, stinging, or reactive to products? Sensitive.

Why It Changes

Skin type isn’t permanent. Hormones, climate, age, and diet can shift it. Reassess seasonally and adjust your routine accordingly.
